Giving at GracePoint

Bequests are arrangements that you will make during your lifetime, with benefits realized after your passing. These gifts serve as an expression of stewardship and value that will outlive you. Gifts given after your passing will carry on your commitment to our body of believers and influence generations to come.

This may take several forms such as designating GracePoint as a beneficiary of your life insurance, IRA, bank account, living trust, will, or real property.

You can give bequests to GracePoint Church directly or choose to make the GracePoint Foundation the beneficiary of your request (see more information about the Foundation below).

Many employers match the charitable contributions made by their employees. Check with your human resources department to see if your company participates in an employer charitable giving match program. Frequently, when a family member passes away, relatives suggest directing donations to GracePoint instead of opting for floral tributes. These gifts have been used to fund many projects and ministries around the church.

The GracePoint Church Foundation was created in 2008 when GracePoint Church received a significant endowment known as the Leah Ginther Memorial Trust Fund. The stipulation on this endowment was that only the earnings of this fund would be available to GracePoint to use for the mission of the church as determined by the Church Council. The foundation board, whose trustees are members of GracePoint Church, have determined a policy of distributing 4% of the asset value to GracePoint each year so that the mission of GracePoint Church can be realized while the principal remains intact and the overall fund can grow for future benefits.

The intent of the foundation is to be wise stewards of your funds to create a long-lasting impact on those who attend GracePoint now and in the future.
